Tirupur: The residents of 9th Ward of SV Colony staged a protest against Tirupur Corporation for non-removal of garbage which accumulated for days
"Even after several complaints the officials didn't take any action" the protestors said.
The public protested in a unique way by sitting over the garbage and raising slogans against the irresponsibility of the Tirupur Corporation.
The public expressed their disappointment stating, "Huge mounds of garbage are lying around for days together. Even after several complaints, the Corporation has not taken the necessary steps to remove it. The accumulation of the garbage has caused unhygienic conditions with stench emanating from it. The hazard of mosquito breeding has also increased the risk of communicable diseases."
Following the protest, the Tirupur Corporation officials acted fast and arranged for removal of garbage by sending a truck.
