20 wild boar carcasses washed away in Noyyal

Coimbatore: As many 20 wild boar carcasses have been washed away in river Noyyal following heavy rains that lashed western ghat region in the past week.


Coimbatore: As many 20 wild boar carcasses have been washed away in river Noyyal following heavy rains that lashed western ghat region in the past week.



The wild boar carcasses were spotted near the Madhampatti bridge that spans the river in the upstream area.

Floods that wreaked havoc has also claimed wildlife in such numbers. 



A few road bridges were also cut off in private lands owing to the strong currents in the Noyyal.

Locals have requested the authorities to immediately dispose of the carcasses to prevent any spread of diseases.
