Kerala: In the ongoing large scale rescue operation in Wayannad, the rescuers have recovered eight more bodies including a child, today after a massive landslide hit Puthumala near Meppadi, on Thursday night.
Kerala: In the ongoing large scale rescue operation in Wayannad, the rescuers have recovered eight more bodies including a child, today after a massive landslide hit Puthumala near Meppadi, on Thursday night.
While it was reported that over 30 people have gone missing in the landslide, a rescue team comprising of NDRF, police and Army and locals have teamed up to search the missing.
The dead are identified as Asira (23), Iyoob (44), Ibrahim (38), Khalid (42), Jineth (20), Selvan (62) and Kathija (42).
Multiple landslides occurred in the area on Thursday night washing away at least 30 people and their houses.
