Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Implementation of Special Programme, S.P Velumani discussed with the District Collector, K. Rajamani and Corporation Commissioner, Sravan Kumar on the precautionary and relief measures taken in the affected areas. He advised the officials to carry relief measures on war footing.
Later, the Minister inspected the overflowing water channels in Rajavaaikaal in Puttuvikki main road near Noyyal bridge and Sundakkamuthur that comes under the jurisdiction of Coimbatore Corporation. The officials explained on the measures taken to how avert flooding into residential areas.
District Engineer A. Lakshmanan and South Zone Assistant Corporation Commissioner, T.R Ravi were also present.
