Speaking at the event, Jamshyd highlighted that environmental causes and conservation are still not prioritised. He added that even today, over 80 percent of the funding for conservation causes comes from overseas. He reiterated how industries can be a part of the solution to biodiversity by focusing on energy and water conservation.
Jamshyd added, "Recycling of water should be made mandatory in the country to conserve water and should focus on conserving fundamental resources which affects the environment."

"Building designers are looking to optimize building efficiency and then incorporate renewable energy technologies, leading to the creation of zero-energy buildings. Changes in existing buildings can also be made to reduce energy usage and costs. These may include small steps, such as choosing LED light bulbs and energy- efficient appliances, or larger efforts such as upgrading insulation and weatherization.
Energy efficiency brings a variety of benefits: reducing greenhouse gas emission, reducing demand for energy imports and lowering our costs on a household and economy-wide level. While renewable energy technologies also help accomplish these objectives, improving energy efficiency is the cheapest and often the most immediate way to reduce the use of fossil fuels. There are enormous opportunities for efficiency improvements in every sector of the economy, whether it is buildings, transportation, industry, or energy generation.
In that way, construction of green buildings by industries can play a huge role in conservation. Green building refers to both a structure and the application of processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from planning to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition. This requires close cooperation of the contractor, the architects, the engineers, and the client at all project stages. The Green Building practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort," elucidated Jamshyd.
After his lecture session, Jamshyd cleared doubts from those gathered at the lecture in an interactive session with the audience.
