Coimbatore: The Minister of Animal Husbandry and Chairman of TACTV Udumalai Radhakrishnan inspected the River Noyyal near Tirupur. Responding to a query by the media persons gathered there, he dismissed allegations made by the DMK leader, M K Stalin that he was running a private cable company.

Udumalai Radhakrishnan visited the Noyyal River in Tirupur today and inspected flood-prone areas and preparations underway in the event of an emergency. He then inspected the bridge connecting the Tirupur-Mangalam road and College road that were engulfed in the flood.
Addressing the media, the Minister reassured that steps have been taken to ensure that public in Tirupur and Coimbatore are not affected in any way due to the torrential rains and flood alert that has been sounded for residents in the coastal region of River Noyyal. He also noted that the floods in Udumalai Chinnaru area have stranded the tribals in the area who are unable to cross the river. "Their demand for a long-awaited construction of a bridge was brought to the notice of the Chief Minister and action will be taken in this regard," he added.
Commenting on Stalin's statement that he was running a private cable company named Akshaya, the Minister said, "Stalin is not able to tolerate the low-cost cable connection that the Government will be introducing soon and so have accused me falsely. As the license for the private cable company is acquired online, it is possible to know who owns Akshaya Cable Company" he added.
"In the absence of the AIADMK regime, Stalin had to think about who was in control of the cable network in Tamil Nadu and the extent of it," he added.
The Minister refused to answer queries on the allegations made by the former Minister Manikandam. District Collector and members of the Legislative assembly were also present along with the Minister for the inspection.
