According to reports, the Siruvani reservoir which is the prime source of drinking water for Coimbatore has reached upto 41.98 feet and is filling up rapidly at 9 ft less than its full capacity of 49.53 ft. With rains expected to continue in the Ghat region for another few days, water level could rise further and the dam could overflow in a few days.
