As the catchment areas of Noyyal that originate in Coimbatore has been receiving bountiful rains, there has been a consistent flow of water in the Noyyal in Tirupur. The officials have sounded caution to all people living along the river.
Upon orders from District Collector, K.S. Palanisamy, a team of officials headed by Thasildhar Jayakumar are involved 24/7 to monitor the situation and arrange necessary safety measures.
People are requested to be cautious of the situation and avoid venturing into the river. People living along the shores of the river are advised to evacuate immediately.
