Coimbatore: The District Collector invited applicants for the 'Thanthai Periyar Award for Social Justice,' an award to honour individuals for their contribution to social justice.
The award consists of a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000, one sovereign gold medal and a certificate of appreciation.
In his press release, the District Collector, K Rajamani said, "The 'Thanthai Periyar Award for Social Justice' for the year 2019 is to be awarded. Hence, the District administration invites applicants who have worked hard for social justice and improved the livelihood of people to send in their applications and personal details addressed to the District Collector, before October 10."
