On the Ooty-Gudalur road, near Pykara, a compound wall collapsed and caused a landslide which disrupted traffic. Police have also advised all motorists in the district to drive with extreme caution.

The continuous rainfall in Nilgiris over the past three days along with strong winds has caused flooding on the roads. Heavy rainfall lashed Ooty, Kundha, Gudalur and Pandalur since Tuesday night.
