The catchment areas of the falls have been receiving bounteous rains for the past three days, which led to flooding in the falls.
The falls would remain closed for tourists till further notice.
Meanwhile, water storage in Siruvani reservoir has been improving considerably due to good inflow.
According to sources “Coimbatore district has registered 496 mm of rainfall this monsoon season.”
