As part of this, lawyers in Coimbatore protested in front of the Coimbatore Court premises condemning the Reorganisation Bill. They slammed the Central Government, accusing it of overruling democracy by splitting Jammu and Kashmir against the wishes of its people and violating the special status it had been accorded through Article 370.
