Coimbatore: Eco tourism at the Kovai Kuttralam facility near Sadivayal was closed today due to heavy rain and flash floods in the area.
The catchment area of the falls has been receiving ample rains for the past few days, thus increasing the water level gradually.
While the level of water was high on Sunday, the facility was closed on Monday for regular maintenance.
The closure was officially announced for Tuesday and it has been informed that it would remain closed until further notice.
Meanwhile, water level at Siruvani reservoir stood at 23.22 feet against total reservoir capacity of 49 feet. The catchment area has received 255 mm rain fall, while the foothills has received 34 mm.
