Coimbatore: In an attempt to curb crimes rates in the city, the Police have arrested trouble makers, criminals and repeat offenders, under various sections and produced them in the Court on Monday.
Coimbatore: In an attempt to curb crimes rates in the city, the Police have arrested trouble makers, criminals and repeat offenders, under various sections and produced them in the Court on Monday.
The action comes after orders issued by the Director General of Police directing all Commissioners' and Superintendents to identify and arrest all repeat offenders and suspects in their respective jurisdiction to reassure public safety.
Under the guidance of Inspector General (West Zone), Periaiah and Deputy Inspector General, Karthikeyan, the District SP, Sujith Kumar formed a team and booked 24 criminals and suspects in the city and arrested them under Section 7 (1) in The Code Of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Act, 2005.
Additionally, 11 others were booked under in The Code Of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and 47 repeat offenders were booked under 110 section respectively.
