Coimbatore: To observe the National Organ Donation Week and create mass awareness among the public on organ donation, an initiative named 'Gift an Organ' has been launched by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) & Young Indians (Yi).
Coimbatore: To observe the National Organ Donation Week and create mass awareness among the public on organ donation, an initiative named 'Gift an Organ' has been launched by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) & Young Indians (Yi).
"As part of the awareness campaign, a bus carrying messages on organ donation will be operated in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Madurai, Trichy, Pondicherry and Chennai between August 6 to 11. The bus will be covering 1500 km and tour through 100 towns and villages", noted a release.
The awareness bus will be flagged off by Dr. B. Asokan, Dean, Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital at 9 am on Tuesday, from Government Hospital Premises here.
