Coimbatore: In a tragic incident when a tree fell on a two-wheeler on the Therampalayam Road in Mettupalayam, the son of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Coimbatore lost his life.
Coimbatore: In a tragic incident when a tree fell on a two-wheeler on the Therampalayam Road in Mettupalayam, the son of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Coimbatore lost his life.
Prasanna Vignesh (27), the son of Somasekhar was a resident of Vilankurichi, Coimbatore and worked in an IT company. He was on his way from Annur to Mettupalayam on a two-wheeler on the Therampalayam Road and was accompanied by Vishnupriya (24), daughter of Soundararajan from Vellapan Nagar, Coimbatore.
A dried up tree reportedly fell on the two-wheeler, grievously injuring both. Passers-by rushed the duo to the Mettupalayam Government Hospital in 108 ambulance but Prasanna Vignesh succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. Vishnupriya has been referred to the Coimbatore Govt Hospital for further treatment.
