Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Water and Drainage Board Director, Maheswaran conducted a review meeting for the Water Board Engineers and officials of Coimbatore, Erode, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, Salem, Namakkal and Karur.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Water and Drainage Board Director, Maheswaran conducted a review meeting for the Water Board Engineers and officials of Coimbatore, Erode, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, Salem, Namakkal and Karur.
With water scarcity at its peak in the State, the Water Board Director enquired of all the officials about the water distribution status, water storage, available water resources and all other details from each region.
He advised the officials to diligently work in supplying drinking water to all the regions, resolve issues and ensure that even the remotest part in each region is supplied with water on a regular basis.
It is reported that Rs.20 crores has been allotted to speed up renovation work and aid speedy supply of drinking water in all seven regions.
