Tirupur : While residents of Sulur and Palladam are lamenting on the rise in burglary in their area, two more daylight burglaries on the same day has triggered panic among the residents.
Tirupur : While residents of Sulur and Palladam are lamenting on the rise in burglary in their area, two more daylight burglaries on the same day has triggered panic among the residents.
In two different burglary incidents in Palladam, the burglars managed to escape with gold and cash. In the first incident, the burglars looted a house in Mahalakshmi Nagar (opp to Palladam Tahsildhar office) on Wednesday. The house belongs to Rajesh Khanna, LIC agent who has been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Tirupur. His wife Kavitha was staying along with to attend to his needs. In this scenario, the burglars broke open the front door of his house and escaped with 30 sovereign of gold ornaments and Rs. 5000 cash.
The neighbours alerted the Couple who have registered a case at Palladam police station.
In another incident, the burglars broke open a house in Duraisamy Nagar in Palladam and escaped with 6 sovereign of gold ornaments. The police have commenced investigation.
The daylight robbery has triggered fear among the residents who have urged to increase the police patrol in the town.
