The petition requested for introduction of more trains through the Coimbatore-Pollachi-Dindugul section, regularisation of Palani to Coimbatore passenger services, introduction of Anaimalai Express between Pollachi and Chennai Egmore via Trichy, Virudhachalam and Villupuram.
The MP also asked for coach indication board, watering of the coaches at Pollachi Junction, auto announcing, digital display, a parking lot and provision of shelter, benches and chair in the Udumalapettai station. He also requested for reservation facilities and halting of Express trains at Madathukulam junction. Apart from this, the MP also asked for reservation facilities, a foot over bridge at the Kinatthukadavu junction and reservation facilities at the Valparai station for the benefit of the public.
