Coimbatore : Upon orders of City Police Commissioner, Sumit Sharan, four employees of a tiles showroom here were arrested for swindling money and sent to prison on Tuesday.
Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Perumal, Assistant Commissioner, Chandrasekaran and Inspector Nagarajan produced Chidambaram (46), Murali (36), Selvakumar (32) and Nagaraj, employees of 'Beauty Wares' a tiles and fitting showroom operating in the city.
The employees who were working in top positions as executive director, purchase manager and in accounts department are alleged to have swindled Rs. 5 crore by manipulating the accounts from 2015 onwards.
After the fraud came to light, S. Sivakumar (47) the owner of the shop had filed a complaint with the police. Acting upon his complaint the police arrested them and produced in the Court today. The justice remanded them in judicial custody.
