The Nilgiris : Black Thunder and Hindu Group organised an event to contribute books to the libraries of 100 Government Schools in Nilgiris.
The event was organised to highlight the importance of reading books among children and to avail library facilities. 5000 books were distributed to 100 schools with each school receiving 50 books.
The Principals of the schools were present at the event to collect the books from the District Collector Innocent Divya. She requested teachers to help build reading habits in students by actively discussing in class about the contents of the books that the children read.
