Coimbatore : Around 44 dog breeds took part in the 11th and 12th All India level dog show organised by Anamalais Kennel Club at Hindustan College grounds here on Sunday.
Dog breeds including great dane, German Shepherd, Miniature Pinscher, Pug, Poodle, Malinois, Lhasa Apso Dalmatian from various States participated in the show.

International breeds of dogs from England, Ireland and Australia were also a part of the dog show.
Apart from this sniffing dogs from the police department, Indian breeds like Rajapalayam, Kombai, Chippiparai, Kanni displayed their skills and enthralled the audience.
Speaking on the show, Ravi, President of Anamalais Kennel Club said "We have reveived 372 entries with 42 breeds of dogs including Dachshund, Great Dane and others. This season, we have witnessed more Dachshunds, Chow-Chow, Shih Tzu and Poodles."
"The three judges for the show will examine the dogs according to the set standards of their breeds. The dogs with closest standard will be awarded at the end of the show, today. A speciality show for Great Danes were also organised. Compared to last year, there is an increase in footfall of spectators and dog lovers who were awestruck by the skills exhibited by the dogs", added, the President of Anamalais Kennel Club.

The dogs left the spectators in awe with their talents.
Best performing dogs were rewarded and prior medical examination was carried out. The exhibition also had stalls for pet foods and supplies.
