Augustine (20) is the son of Arogiaraj from Sivagangai district, Francis Vallarasu (20) son of Jesuraj (50) stay together in rented room in Kasigoundenpudur near Avinashi. Augustine is studying in second year Mathematics and Francis is studying second Business studies in a private college in Neelipalayam. Jesuraj is working as cook in the same region.
On Friday, when Jesuraj returned from work he was shocked to see Augustine dead in a pool of blood with a heavy blow on his head. The Avinashi police reached the spot and upon investigation it was found that Francis had killed Augustine and escaped.
It was later found that Francis hit Augustine with a steel rod on his head because he spoke ill of his father in the hotel where he works part time after college. This has made it difficult for Jesuraj to find a job. This angered Francis and provoked him to kill Augustine.
The Avinashi Police later arrested him in the Avinashi-Mangalam highways and produced him in the court and later jailed him in Coimbatore Central Prison.
