Recently, the NIA arrested two Islamic people -- Mohammed Azharuddin (A-1) and Y. Shiek Hidayathullah (A-3) aged 38 years, resident of Kulanthai Goundar Street, South Ukkadam, here.for their connections with ISIS and Srilankan bomb blast accused, Zakir.

In this scenario, the City Police intensified their raids and investigations and nabbed three people on Friday. During an interrogation at the special division office, the City Police confirmed that they were ardent supporters of the worldwide-banned ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). Subsequently, the trio were booked under UAPA.
The three accused were identified as Shajahan from Anbu Nagar, Habibullah from Karumbukadai and Mohammed Hussain from Vincent road.

The trio were taken to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for medical examination and produced at the residence of Chief Justice Sakthivel at Race Course, today.
The justice ordered the police to remand them in custody until 28th of this month.
