Coimbatore: The District Collector of Coimbatore, K Rajamani called for unemployed youth to apply for loans under the Government's Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP) scheme.
Coimbatore: The District Collector of Coimbatore, K Rajamani called for unemployed youth to apply for loans under the Government's Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP) scheme.
K Rajamani released a press note on the same which stated, "The UYEGP provides employment opportunity for youth from villages as well as the town. According to this scheme, the applicants will get Rs.10 lakhs for a manufacturing business, Rs.3 lakhs for service-related businesses and Rs.1 lakh for sale businesses. Besides, the State Government provides 25 percent subsidy, with a maximum amount of Rs.1,25,000.
However, it is to be noted that at least 5 percent of self-investment is a must. Individuals who are 18 and above can make use of this scheme, provided the family's annual income does not exceed Rs.1,50,000. It is to be noted that mortgaging properties are not required to avail the loan. The age limit for the general category is 35 years and for the special category it is 45 years, with a minimum education qualification of clearing Class 8."
Individuals interested in applying for the loan can apply through www.msmeonline.tn.gov.in/uyegp/ or make use of the free Public Service Centre and the District Employment Centre. After filling in their details, the applicants should scan and upload the School Transfer Certificate, Family Card or Aadhaar Card, Community Certificate and the Quotation of the project. The application should be downloaded and filled with the signature attested. The application and form of the pledge, and the originals of the scanned documents submitted should be taken along at the time of the candidate appearing for the interview at the District Employment Office.
