Coimbatore : According to a press report, there was a tip-off that Mohammed Hussain, son of Ayub Khan of Ukkadam, Shajahan, the son of Abdul Jaffar, Anbu Nagar, Ukkadam, Sheik Safiuallah, the son of Yakub from Karumbukkadai were staunch supporters of the ISIS and had been propagating proscribed terrorist organisation ISIS ideologies on social media.
Coimbatore : According to a press report, there was a tip-off that Mohammed Hussain, son of Ayub Khan of Ukkadam, Shajahan, the son of Abdul Jaffar, Anbu Nagar, Ukkadam, Sheik Safiuallah, the son of Yakub from Karumbukkadai were staunch supporters of the ISIS and had been propagating proscribed terrorist organisation ISIS ideologies on social media.
They were also supporters of Zahran Hashim, the man behind the bomb blast in Sri Lanka's Easter Sunday bomb blasts and even lauded his acts. According to the tip-off received, it is said that plans were afoot to perpetrate terror attacks in Coimbatore.
Based on this information, a case under section 18, 38, 39 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 was registered in the D3 Podanur Police Station against the trio. A search was conducted in their homes along with a through scanning of the confiscated mobile phones, sim cards, computer hard disks, bank account documents, pen drives, memory cards and other incriminating documents which were seized. The officials are interrogating the three accused about the incriminating materials seized during the search.
