Coimbatore : A three-year-old male deer that was attacked by a pack of stray dogs near Maruthamalai was rescued and treated on Wednesday.
Coimbatore : A three-year-old male deer that was attacked by a pack of stray dogs near Maruthamalai was rescued and treated on Wednesday.
The deer that was roaming near the Bharathiyar University was being chased by the dogs when it was spotted. Local people who saw the incident immediately chased away the dogs and rescued the stag.
The deer was then taken to the Vadavalli veterinary hospital and was give first aid. Post treatment, it was let to rehabilitate at the Maruthamalai forest rest house.
It was later released in the Forest after rehab.
