Deputy Commissioner of CCMC, Prasanna Ramsamy addressed the assistant commissioners of all five zones regarding the key things that needs to be focussed to ensure safe sanitation conditions for the denizens and also a thorough check on preventive measures for dengue.
In a bid to prevent dengue during the upcoming monsoon season, CCMC has decided to commence anti-dengue measures at all 100 wards in the city. As clogged drains, uncleared garbage, water stagnation and non-disposal of wastes forms the breeding ground for dengue spreading mosquitoes, CCMC DC, Prasanna Ramasamy stressed to the Assistant Commissioners of all zones to gear up the cleaning activities.
He also advised them to create awareness among the citizens ward-wise and administer anti-dengue sprays at all wards, especially educational institutions and public places.
