Coimbatore: With people of the 100 wards of the Coimbatore City corporation finding it difficult to get their grievances related to Civic issues redressed ontime, the CCMC has opted to restart the weekly grievance day.

The decision comes after the multifarious efforts of the CCMC towards redressal turned to be ineffective. Starting from a grievance vehicle touring the city to collect petitions from a techie 'App' the luke warm response from the public has coerced CCMC to go back to the conventional method of hearing grievances.

Speaking on this, CCMC Commissioner, J.Sravan Kumar said "We are planning to bring back the weekly grievance day programme. Starting July, public can directly represent their grievances on every Monday morning to noon. An announcement regarding this will be made in the upcoming week."

He also added that CCMC is developing an application where public can register their grievance regarding any civic issues, which will be launched soon.

Menawhile, public can send in your complaints/issues through the following channels:

*Landline number - 0422 - 2390261 / 63 (working hours 10.00 am - 5.45 pm).

*WhatsApp Number - 8190000200 ( with Pictures )

*SMS - 74404 22422

*Email Id - [email protected]

While posting grievances public are asked to include the following details:

1.Ward number

2.Area details

3.Photos

4.Issue

5.Previous grievance regarding the same issue with date.
