New Delhi: S P Velumani, the Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Implementation of Special Programme, Tamil Nadu handed over a petition in person to Amit Shah, the Minister of Home Affairs, today at New Delhi.
New Delhi: S P Velumani, the Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Implementation of Special Programme, Tamil Nadu arrived at the capital today to participate in the consultation meeting that was organised on behalf of the Central Water Management Department.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Minister for Jal Shakti presided over the consultation meeting on June 11 at New Delhi. In this meeting, S P Velumani detailed the gathering on Tamil Nadu's present drinking water projects, projects in the pipeline and the Swachh Bharath Projects.

S P Velumani also handed over a petition in person to Amit Shah, the Minister of Home Affairs, today at New Delhi. The petition stated a requisition of allocation of funds for the local bodies, granting homes for the beneficiaries who were left out from the 'Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojna' scheme of PM Modi, the expansion of the Coimbatore airport and various projects from various departments that are to be implemented in Tamil Nadu. The Minister for Electricity, Prohibition and Excise, P Thangamani was also present.
