Coimbatore : The Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Sravan Kumar Jatavath inspected Velandipalayam in Coimbatore West with regard to drinking water distribution.
He visited residents from door-to-door in Nallammal and Krishnakoil Street areas enquiring about Corporation lorry water services and about the frequency of drinking water distribution.
Sravan Kumar ordered the concerned authorities to take immediate action to ensure seamless distribution of drinking water to prevent scarcity. He also instructed the Corporation workers hasten the cleaning work at the Thekkalur pond area.
The Deputy Corporation Commissioner S Prasanna Ramasamy, Assistant Corporation Commissioner Senthil Kumarthinam, City Welfare Officer M K Santhosh Kumar, Engineer Sasipriya, Zonal Welfare Officer Radha Krishna, Assistant Engineers Sathyamoorthy and Angelina were also present for the inspection.
