Sabarimala temple in Kerala will be opened on June 11, Tuesday afternoon for day-long rituals to be held in connection with the anniversary of the idol installation of the presiding deity, Lord Ayyappa which is to be held on Wednesday, June 12.

'Melsanthi' Vasudevan Namboodiri will open the sanctum at 5 pm on Tuesday. Though no special poojas will be offered on Tuesday, the sanctum will be open for devotees to offer their prayers.
On June 11, the temple will be open till 10 pm and special poojas will commence from the early morning of June 12.
Security has been beefed up in Sabarimala owing to the annual celebration.
