He is to also attend a thanksgiving party and meeting in Pollachi at 5 pm, this evening.
DMK cadres who thronged the Coimbatore Airport to welcome their party head, followed him into the city as an entourage amidst loud cheering and sloganeering.
The irate public reportedly had to shut their ears and move far away from the DMK crowd to spare themselves. Many complained saying while welcoming leaders was necessary, a proper decorum ought to be followed to avoid inconveniencing the public.
