Coimbatore : The Justice of the District Principal Court here on Monday sentenced five people with one year imprisonment and Rs. 1000 fine each for their involvement in damaging a TASMAC outlet in the city.
Coimbatore : The Justice of the District Principal Court here on Monday sentenced five people with one year imprisonment and Rs. 1000 fine each for their involvement in damaging a TASMAC outlet in the city.
In 2010, a TASMAC outlet in Ukkadam, here was attacked by few people and members of political parties. In connection to the incident, case was filed on Nasser, Abu Thahir, Valayal Hakkim, Gaja Hussain and Mujubir Rahman.The case was ongoing at the District Court here.
On Monday, the Justice pronounced judgement by ordering one year imprisonment. Among the accused, Valayal Hakkim is presently remanded in Bangalore Prison for his involvement in a bomb blast at BJP Office in Bangalore.
Following the judgement, the remaining accused were remanded in Coimbatore Central Prison.
