Coimbatore : The Grievance Day at the Collectorate today was headed by K Rajamani, the District Collector. The District Revenue Officer Ramathuraimurugan, Rural Development Director RubanShankar Raja, Chief Assistant Umamaheshwari and Social Welfare Officer Amuthan were all present.

After receiving 349 petitions from people with issues ranging from family card, land evacuation and house patta, the Collector handed over the petitions to respective authorities, ordering immediate action within the stipulated time.
After the Grievances meeting, the Differently-abled Welfare Department arranged for free distribution of wheelchairs costing Rs.1,47,750 to differently-abled beneficiaries under the Government's 'Education for All' scheme. The SC and ST differently-abled children were also given free notebooks by the District Collector.
