The program was attended by Sri Krishna Sweets MD Krishnan, Siruthuli Managing Trustee Vanitha Mohan and the Managing Director of Ramraj Nagarajan.

Addressing the media, Latha Rajinikanth said, "The crimes against children are on the rise, irrespective of their age. It is our fundamental responsibility as a society to provide a safe environment for our children. Daya, aims to protect child rights and fight against child abuse. We aim to cover all 33 districts in the State and as a part of the initiative, discussions were on to establish the organisation in Coimbatore."
Latha Rajinikanth invited social workers and activists to join hands in creating the much-needed awareness about child abuse. She also said that the nuclear family setup has led to very less time spent by parents for their children, whilst the problems of elders being forced on children.
