While MP A. Raja was touring through the Nilgiris district to thank his voters, AIADMK cadres staged a road roko condemning the MP for not fulfilling his poll promises of rebating gold and educational loan of farmers in the constituency.
Tense moments prevailed as public also joined the demonstration which was held in front of the Nilgiris Lok Sabha Member's Office. The police intervened and dispersed the crowd to avoid further commotion.
