Coimbatore : The District Forest Officer (DFO), D Venkatesh on Friday assured that all pending salaries of the Anti Poaching Watchers (APW) working in the Coimbatore Forest Division will be paid.
The 136 APWs working in the seven ranges here have not been paid salaries for the months of April and May. While they are paid up to Rs.10,000, they had been subjected to infrequent salary settlements as a result of fund shortage in the Department. This continued during the months of April and May with none of them receiving salaries during that period.
Responding to the issue, DFO D Venkatesh assured action has been taken and salaries would be credited in their bank accounts soon.
