District Collector directly supervises civic facilities in areas under Coimbatore Corporation

Coimbatore: The District Collector K Rajamani supervised the supply of drinking water in Kavundampalayam and Thudiyalur areas that belong to Coimbatore Corporation, today. Sravan Kumar Jatavath, Corporation Commissioner, Prasanna Ramasamy, Deputy Commissioner - Corporation, Assistant Commissioners of Corporation Senthil Kumar, Senthil Arasan and Municipality Welfare Officer Santhosh Kumar accompanied the Collecto.

Coimbatore: The District Collector K Rajamani supervised the supply of drinking water in Kavundampalayam and Thudiyalur areas that belong to Coimbatore Corporation, today. Sravan Kumar Jatavath, Corporation Commissioner, Prasanna Ramasamy, Deputy Commissioner - Corporation, Assistant Commissioners of Corporation Senthil Kumar, Senthil Arasan and Municipality Welfare Officer Santhosh Kumar accompanied the Collecto.

The drinking water to Coimbatore District is supplied through 13 joint drinking water schemes including Pillur Joint Water Scheme, Siruvani Joint Water Scheme and Parambikulam Aaliyar Joint Water Scheme. Based on the orders of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K Palaniswami and Cabinet Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development, Corporations S P Velumani, the local officers from Corporation, Municipality, Panchayat, and Panchayat Unions carry out the task of implementing safety measures to prevent water scarcity and make sure that every nook and corner of the city gets sufficient water supply. 

The team led by the District Collector inspected areas like Movar Nagar of Ward No. 8, Subramaniyapuram of Ward No. 43 and areas in Thudiyalur of Ward No. 1. He then enquired with residents on whether the water supply was sufficient and if chlorine is added. The District Collector also ordered the officials to supply water appropriately and asked residents to use water discreetly. 



The District Collector, K Rajamani also visited the Urban Primary Health Center in the Thudiyalur area. He enquired with the doctors and nurses about medical services provided in the area, about the patients walk-in procedures and medical equipment. He instructed them to give dedicated quality treatment to outpatients and pregnant ladies.
