'Temples of Kanchipuram' on Golu display in the city

Kshetramo Kanchi, the Glorious city of Kanchi Kolu is on display as part of the Golu for the Navrathri festival. City-based Ramya Kamesh a resident of Pappanaickenpalayam has put up this display in her home. The sights and sounds of famous temples of Kanchipuram have come alive through this Golu display.





“Apart from the regular seven-step Golu, this year we have placed 'Periya Kanchipuram’, with all the famous temples and ‘Chinna Kanchipuram', with its silk shops. Additionally, an image of the Goddess Devi Kamakshi has been created and is a part of this display.” Ramya says. She adds that her family has also created images Sri Sankaracharya of Sankara Mutt at Kanchipuram using various hues of Rangoli powder.
