Coimbatore: Siruvani Vizhuthukal organisation celebrated World Environment Day and participated in the UN environment project which focuses on reducing air pollution as this year's agenda.
Several magizham tree saplings were planted near the Noyyal river at the foothills of Siruvani in Madhvarayapuram village.
This initiative was to ensure prevention of climatic changes, control global warming and reduce pollution caused by vehicles. Trees were planted in Iruttupallam and Nallurvayal regions as part of this project.
