The car accident took place near Kedumedu, on the national highway in Pollachi. The deceased were Prakash, a resident of Masakalipalayam and his wife Chitra, their children Nandana and Pooja, Latha, wife of Paneerselvam and their children Kaviarasu, Tharani and Sumathi, wife of Subramaniam.
