Coimbatore: The District Collector K Rajamani warned luxury hotels in Coimbatore operating without proper license that they would have to face strict action and consequences.
Coimbatore: The District Collector K Rajamani warned luxury hotels in Coimbatore operating without proper license that they would have to face strict action and consequences.
The District Collector stated, "Coimbatore is a place that is easy to travel to, from many parts of the country. There are many luxury hotels and farmhouses operating in the city to accommodate tourists visiting or passing through Coimbatore. These hotels should have a proper license that is renewed regularly. It should also be noted that these hotels should not disturb residences nearby."
A team of the Tahsildhar, Regional Development Officer, Corporation Commissioner, Panchayat officers and Police Inspectors have been assigned to survey hotels and identify those operating without license. During the field inspection, if any hotels are found violating the rule of not having a proper license, they will be forced to close and the owners of those hotels will also be subjected to face action as per the law.
