The authorities will monitor if the tea factories pay the farmers the same price fixed by the Tea Board, failing which strict actions is initiated against erring tea factories. The farmers are always encouraged to air their grievances to the Tea Board.
The green tea rate for April was Rs. 15.98 per kg and for May it was Rs 15.75 per kg. The price in June has thus dropped.
