The Tamil Nadu State Chief Election Commissioner, Palanisamy had a consultation meeting with the district level officers at the District Collectorate, here today.
The Coimbatore District Collector, K Rajamani and the Corporation Commissioner, Sravan Kumar Jatavath and other officials attended the meeting in which all the work related to the local elections were discussed with the officials present.
The discussion was based on how best to conduct free and fair local elections for the Corporation, 33 municipalities, 37 panchayats, 227 panchayats and the 12 Panchayat Unions that belonged to Coimbatore city.
