The Wellington Cantonment Board Executive Officer, Harish Varma on Tuesday said, "Following her apologies and an explanation on the incident, the orders have been revoked and she has re-joined duty."
Kausalya’s first husband, who was from a Dalit community was murdered in a caste-killing incident in March 2016. Kausalya who is from the Thevar community had proved that her family members had instigated the murder. In December 2017, six people including her father were sentenced to death by a trial court for the murder of her husband.
