Coimbatore: Even as another academic year began in the city, a welcome addition this year is the launch of kindergarten classes at seven Corporation middle schools in Sanganur, Tatabad, Kottai, Vetraban pettai, R S Puram, Pappanaickenpalayam, Ganapathy Ramakrishna Puram, Masakalipalyam and at one Corporation Higher Secondary School in Oppanakara Street.
Coimbatore: Even as another academic year began in the city, a welcome addition this year is the launch of kindergarten classes at seven Corporation middle schools in Sanganur, Tatabad, Kottai, Vetraban pettai, R S Puram, Pappanaickenpalayam, Ganapathy Ramakrishna Puram, Masakalipalyam and at one Corporation Higher Secondary School in Oppanakara Street.
Admissions for both LKG and UKG classes witnessed over 140 children being enrolled for LKG and about 170 children for UKG. These children will have classes till 12 pm and then sent to Anganwadis for the afternoon session. Out of the 13 Corporation schools in the city, kindergarten classes have begun in eight schools since the Government had given permission for only these eight schools, initially.
The Corporation also has plans to launch kindergarten classes to reach out to more schools in the future.
