Sulur Nurse death: Relatives stage road roko at GH; traffic blocked

Coimbatore : While a RDO probe has been ordered in the death of the nurse who allegedly comitted suicide at her residence in Sulur on Sunday, the relatives of the deceased staged a road roko in front of the Coimbatore Government Hospital urging the police to arrest the husband and his parents and register it as a murder case.

Owing to the protest, traffic flow has been affected at Trichy road. As the aggrieved relatives have denied to collect the mortal remains of Muthu Meena, the police are trying to pacify them to disperse. 

On Sunday, Muthu Meena (24) a nurse working in Palladam Government Hospital was found hanging in her house in Sulur. The parents of Muthu Meena filed a police complaint suspecting foul play in her death. They alleged that her husband Murali Shankar and his parents had murdered their daughter and later made it look like a suicide. 



The Sulur police registered a case and sent the body for post moterm examination to Coimbatore GH. 

Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased Nurse staged a demonstration at the GH urging to change the case from suicide to murder.
