RDO to probe death of Sulur govt hospital nurse

Coimbatore : The Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) of Coimbatore will conduct an inquiry into the death of a nurse who had allegedly committed suicide in Sulur.


Coimbatore : The Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) of Coimbatore will conduct an inquiry into the death of a nurse who had allegedly committed suicide in Sulur. 

Muthu Meena (24) along with her husband Murali Shankar (27) and their three-year-old daughter were residing in Kalangal area near Vivekananda Garden in Sulur. 

Muthu Meena who has been working as a temporary nurse in Palladam Government hospital was found hanging in her house on Sunday morning. 

Based on a complaint lodged by her parents, the police suspect family feud to be the reason for her death. Her parents allege that injuries were found in her body, hence she could have been murdered by her husband and her father-in-law Ganesh who have been allegedly torturing her. 



The Sulur police have registered a case and have sent her body to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police had informed that RDO will investigate the murder of the young nurse.
