Coimbatore: Cadres of Paattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) staged a protest on Friday at the Taluk Office demanding to book all fraudsters who were operating fake foreign recruitment agencies under the Goondas Act.

PMK party members gathered at the Taluk office and raised slogans against the fake agencies which promise fake jobs abroad. They also demanded that these repeat fraudsters should be booked under the non-bailable Goondas Act.

The PMK party's State Youth Wing Secretary, Ashok Srinidhi alleged that more than 300 complaints have been filed against such fake agencies and only some of them were arrested for the frauds. "These fraudsters getting out on bail for such cases have become usual. It is reported that many of these offenders and fake agency owners are also involved in investing the ill-gotten money into other businesses. So these offenders should not be provided bail and ought to be booked under the Goondas Act. The cases should be handed over to the CB-CID ," demanded Ashok Srinidhi.

The PMK cadres requested the Police Department to form a special team to identify and arrest those involved in the fake job racket and book them under the Goondas Act.
